The Motorcyclist Training Course (MTC)

Whether you have been riding for a while, or just getting started, the Motorcyclist Training Course (MTC) is a great way to establish a strong foundation of basic skills upon which you continue to build and develop.

California Motorcyclist Safety Program's (CMSP) MTC covers more than skills required to operate a motorcycle. You will be introduced to life saving mental strategies, judgments, and awareness skills. You will understand how, 'Expert riders use expert judgment to avoid the need to use expert skills'.

This course is pass / no pass. Statewide average shows a 79% student pass rate. You must achieve an 80% score on a Knowledge Test and pass a Riding Skills Evaluation.

Everyone under 21 years old MUST take this course as a prerequisite to getting their motorcycle license endorsement.

Tuition. $425 - 21 years old and over. $395 - 20 years old and younger. Payment is due with your reservation and can be made with a credit card.

Motorcycles are provided. Helmets are available to borrow, but bringing your own is advised.
