The BRC2 is an excellent next step in skills development for riders who have completed a basic training course and want to develop additional skills. It's also a great way for experienced riders who want to tune-up their motorcycle skills. There is no knowledge test or skills test. Just a great day of riding, learning and meeting others.

What is taught?

This is a 5 hour, one-day course. The curriculum consists of riding exercises and classroom-type discussions. Riding exercises include; control at low speed, limited space maneuvers, cornering judgments, cornering finesse, quick stops, stopping quickly in a curve, hazard avoidance and much more.

Do I need to bring a motorcycle?

Students are encouraged to use their own motorcycle or scooter to maximize skills development, while learning their bike's capabilities and limitations. However, a CCMT training bike may be used, for a nominal additional fee. Your vehicle must be safe to ride as determined by a pre-ride T-CLOCK inspection. We will provide a copy of the T-CLOCK inspection form to you with your enrollment confirmation letter. You will also need to show proof of current insurance coverage and a registration card for the vehicle.

What are the requirements?

There is no minimum riding experience required. However, you must have a valid motorcycle permit, license, or endorsement.

What do I need to wear?

DOT-approved 3/4 or full-face helmet (no 1/2 helmets). Long-sleeve shirt or jacket (must cover the midriff and wrists). Sturdy denim jeans (no sweat pants or dress pants). Full-fingered gloves with leather palms that cover the wrist (no skin showing). Leather or cordura boots, with sturdy soles and tops high enough to completely cover the ankle. Eye protection (glasses, goggles or face shield).
